Self-identification of a subject of political relations is a necessary requirement for a state formation in modern democratic civilized countries. Western politicians have been developing practice, according to which organizations and political parties are formed around a complex system of principles and values, fixed in certain political documents for years. Approved or rejected by nation development course is the basis for further transition of political entities to the level of representative bodies such as municipality, parliament and elected officials. After such transaction, policies in developed and civilized countries will always be based on the particular set of ideas that is supported by members of the society.
Each political party like any other political entity have to determine its political belief for it is a key to understanding the ultimate goal of its activities. For LDLU such political idea is a liberal democracy, which is the only possible form of reproduction of true democracy.
Liberal democracy department is a structural element of our public organization, which main objectives are analysis, research and implementation of liberal democracy values.
The main goals, the department which should be reached in a due time are the comprehension of global practice of building the liberal-democratic state and development of Ukrainian liberal-democratic program.
As of 2016 Serhii Tytiuk is the head of the department.
