«Only getting older you understand what your country means to you.
I will be honest with you, for the most part of my life I was sure that after graduating I would leave Ukraine to continue my education abroad and to live there the rest of my life. My family have never been very patriotic. However when your homeland is being abused you just cannot stand aside. I am not a fan of banal and meaningless words but I feel personally insulted when injustice rules my country.
The more I have been travelling around the world, the better I have been understanding that I will not be able to live in another country. Ukraine means everything to me now. It is the country where I lost and succeeded for the first times, it is here where my friend, relatives and all people who give meaning to my life live. Here are my mountains and seas, the best cities and the most beautiful people, the tastiest food and so on and so forth. I can keep going like that for a long time! But more importantly here live the most heroic personalities I have ever known!
I never give empty promises on principle. That is why you can believe my when I declare, that now I am willing to forget about everything the world can offer me in order to start the changes in Ukraine. I am willing to earn and invest money in the development of my country. I believe that by contributing my efforts to my country, I will be able to make my country better. Only if Ukrainian intellectuals stay in Ukraine, we will be able to succeed because only our nation can change our country!
I trust in the LDLU because here reigns honesty and openness, which most of other NGOs lack. Being at the very beginning of the Liberal Democratic League I know how important is it to save our integrity, unity and passion, which will evolve into professionalism and patience with time. The number of talented, intelligent and honest people gathered here impresses me. I believe in relevance of strong personalities, which we luckily have enough!»
