Our team is open to like-minded individuals aged 14 to 35.
Among our activists are young lawyers, international relations specialists, researchers, political scientists, veterans, economists, entrepreneurs, and creatives from the cultural industries.
We are centrists.
We don’t divide – we unite. People of all kinds, equal in dignity and rights. Humanism, reason, and strategic thinking are our shield and sword.
We are capitalists.
We believe in free markets, fair competition, and reducing taxes and regulations.
We are interventionists.
We believe a preemptive strike is better than a delayed defense. A values-based system of national security is the foundation of freedom and life for free people.
We are national liberals.
We honor the continuity of Ukrainian history and tradition, drawing inspiration from the political visions of Lesia Ukrainka, Ivan Svit, and Yaroslava Stetsko. A strong political nation – united by freedom and mutual respect – is the soil of progress.
We are pro-Europeans.
We advocate for Ukraine’s swift accession to the European Union. NATO membership is the next step.

Our Team
Due to security risks during the full-scale war, we can’t introduce everyone just yet – but the time will come.
Roman Ratushnyi is the only honorary member of LDLU – a kindred spirit and friend who was killed in battle against Russian invaders in June 2022. His memory is a guiding light and moral compass for our team.
In the fall of 2021, Roman served as our delegate to the General Assembly of the International Federation of Liberal Youth (IFLRY) in Athens. In 2022, the 50th IFLRY General Assembly in Dakar (Senegal) was opened in his memory. IFLRY posthumously honored him – and the fallen young Ukrainian soldiers – with its highest distinction: the Freedom Award.
Awards
We are the first Ukrainian organization to receive the Arno Esch Prize (2022) “for altruistic and courageous efforts in defense of freedom, democracy, the rule of law, human rights, and civil liberties – in Ukraine and around the world.”
The prize is awarded every two years by the Association of Liberal Academics of Germany in honor of Arno Esch – a 23-year-old student from Rostock who stood up to Russian occupation and was tortured to death near Moscow in 1951.
All prize funds were donated to the 93rd Mechanized Brigade “Kholodnyi Yar.”
Banned in Russia
We are officially “blacklisted” in Russia.
In April 2024, the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office designated our team as an “undesirable organization.” According to their statement, we actively spread anti-Russian ideas, contribute to Russia’s international isolation, and support the Armed Forces of Ukraine and pro-democracy movements worldwide. All of that is true – and we’re proud of it.
In 2025, Russia added the European Liberal Youth (LYMEC) to the same list – an organization where we hold full membership. So yes, we’re double undesirable by the Kremlin.
When freedom is under threat, unity becomes a necessity. Choose – before someone chooses for you.
