From 20 to 21 November 2025, the delegation of the Liberal Democratic League of Ukraine was in Brussels to participate in the “Youth Can Do It” Summit, organised by the Renew Europe Group in the European Parliament.
The delegation included Hanna Tkachenko, Head of the Department of Liberal Democracy, as well as activists Karina Cheremnova and Yevhen Abramov.
The summit brought together youth leaders, experts, and representatives of the European Parliament, focusing on democratic resilience, youth participation in policymaking, and countering disinformation.
Within the programme, LDLU delegates took part in three key workshops:
• EU Enlargement – an analysis of enlargement policy and the specific challenges faced by Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, the Western Balkans, and Türkiye.
• Youth in Policymaking – an overview of the European Commission’s Work Programme and mechanisms for engaging young people in the political process.
• Digital Resilience – an assessment of contemporary manipulations and narratives in the digital environment, alongside the development of counter-narratives and practical solutions through teamwork.
A separate component of the summit was the Young Voices from Ukraine module, dedicated to the experience of Ukrainian youth during the war and their priorities in cooperation with European partners. The discussion focused on disinformation, digital security, and the role of young people in international advocacy.
LDLU’s participation in “Youth Can Do It” continued our systematic work to amplify the voice of Ukrainian youth within the European political arena and to strengthen cooperation with Renew Europe.
We thank the organisers for the opportunity to present the Ukrainian perspective.
