On October 23, 2026, Hanna Tkachenko, Head of the Liberal Democracy Department of the Liberal Democratic League of Ukraine, joined a networking lunch in Abidjan (Côte d'Ivoire).
The event took place during the women's political forum "One Voice, Many Directions: Pathways of Engaged Women Between West Africa and Europe," organized by the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom (FNF). Participants had the opportunity to expand their network and exchange experiences in women's leadership.
The gathering was opened by Alexandra Heldt, Director of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation in West Africa; Sidi Touré, Minister of Animal and Fisheries Resources of Côte d'Ivoire and Vice President of Liberal International; and Nassénéba Touré, Minister of Women, Family, and Children.
The event concluded with a panel discussion dedicated to women's paths in politics. Their stories were shared by Anne Désirée Ouloto – Minister of State, Minister of Public Service and Modernization of Administration of Côte d'Ivoire; Aminata Angélique Manga – journalist and former Minister of Solidarity Economy and Microfinance of Senegal; Mariétou Dieng – former MP of Senegal; and Sandra Weeser – former member of the German Bundestag.
We are sincerely grateful for the invitation and look forward to further fruitful cooperation with colleagues from Côte d'Ivoire and the West African region!
