From August 16 to 24, 2026, Vice-President of the Liberal Democratic League of Ukraine (LDLU) Yevheniia Fedotova participated in the 1st Naumann Academy of Politics in Cape Town ("The Political Leadership MBA: All-You-Need-To-Know To Run & Win"), hosted by the South African office of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom (FNF).
This marked Vice-President Fedotova’s second visit to South Africa since 2019.
The program brought together two dozen liberal leaders from Asia, Europe, Latin America, and Africa for an intensive seminar combining leadership theory with hands-on simulations covering party building, campaign strategy, crisis and media management, fundraising, as well as live election debates.
Participants also had the opportunity to meet with prominent South African political figures, including Geordin Hill-Lewis, DA Federal Leader and Mayor of Cape Town; Ashor Sarupen, DA Chair of the Federal Council and Deputy Minister of Finance; and Siviwe Gwarube, Minister of Basic Education.
This seminar provided a vital platform to share the truth about the war in Ukraine and to discuss new formats of cooperation with regional partners aimed at rallying support for our country within the global liberal community.
We are sincerely grateful to the FNF team and the Naumann Academy of Politics for the invitation, and we look forward to expanding our cooperation in the future!
