From July 17 to 19, 2026, representatives of the Liberal Democratic League of Ukraine (LDLU), Kateryna Ryzhak and Karyna Cheremnova, took part in the "Resilience of Europe" summer school in Rotterdam. The event was organized by the Dutch youth liberal organization Jonge Democraten (JD), with the support of Renew Europe and the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom (FNF).
The main theme of the event was the resilience of the European Union in the face of military, political, economic, and social challenges threatening democracy and unity. The event brought together liberal youth from different parts of Europe to emphasize the importance of youth proactivity in maintaining pan-European stability.
Special attention during the program was given to Russia's war against Ukraine. As part of this session, Kateryna Ryzhak held a workshop where she emphasized that maintaining economic ties between the EU and the Russian Federation is a strategic threat to the security of all of Europe.
In addition to discussions about Ukraine, participants had the opportunity to exchange views with European politicians. In particular, a meeting was held with MEP from the D66 party, Raquel García Hermida-van der Walle, who shared her vision for the EU's future course on strengthening inclusivity and resilience.
We are sincerely grateful to the organizers for the invitation and the platform for important discussions. We look forward to expanding our cooperation in the future!
