On April 20, 2026, the Liberal Democratic League of Ukraine (LDLU) and the Austrian liberal youth organization JUNOS held a joint seminar in Vienna. The event was dedicated to discussing the state of Ukraine's internal politics amidst the existential challenges of the war.
The LDLU team was represented by Vice President Yevheniia Fedotova, International Officer Anna Komziuk, as well as the organization's representatives in Austria, Ivan Zghardan and Karyna Cheremnova.
During the event, the speakers presented LDLU's activities at the national and international levels. They also discussed internal political trends in Ukraine, particularly the challenges to democracy brought about by the war.
A key focus of the discussion was the position that the full restoration of liberal democracy in Ukraine will only be possible after the conclusion of the current phase of the war.
The meeting ended with an open discussion involving JUNOS representatives and the Austrian public.
We are sincerely grateful to our liberal partners at JUNOS and their mother party, NEOS, for their consistent support of Ukraine and their assistance in organizing this important discussion.
We look forward to continuing our fruitful cooperation!
